Anambra State Youth Indoor Games
It was an felicity event at Marble Arc Hotel, Awka as the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter led by 𝘼𝙢𝙗. 𝙎𝙪𝙧𝙫. 𝙊𝙗𝙞 𝙀𝙢𝙚𝙠𝙖 𝘾𝙝𝙪𝙠𝙬𝙪𝙙𝙞 successfully held their first edition of competitive physical exercises titled 𝘼𝙉𝘼𝙈𝘽𝙍𝘼 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙏𝙃 𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙊𝙊𝙍 𝙂𝘼𝙈𝙀𝙎.
Indoor games provide entertainment and relaxation, they improve hand-eye coordination, critical thinking and cognitive abilities. They enhance fitness and encourage creativity.
Many indoor games like chess, loud, carrom, cards, table tennis, etc help to improve our awareness and consciousness. They also keep the brain active and also maintain body coordination and train the mind to work faster and smarter.
The bliss event was witnessed by 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙄𝙠𝙚 𝘼𝙪𝙜𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙚, member representing Nnewi North State Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Youth Development, 𝘼𝙢𝙗. 𝙄𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙉𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙖, Deputy National President NYCN, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙆𝙚𝙣 𝙊𝙠𝙤𝙡𝙞, PG ASATU Youth, 𝘼𝙢𝙗. 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙀𝙯𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙠𝙬𝙚, State Ambassador, YAN Anambra State and other youth stakeholders across the State.
The variety of structured games such as; 𝙇𝙪𝙙𝙤, 𝙉𝙘𝙝𝙤, 𝙏𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙨, 𝙒𝙝𝙤𝙩, 𝘿𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙩, 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙎𝙣𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙚𝙧, 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙩𝙘 was actively participated by State, Stakeholders, Local Government, FBOs and VYOs. And the outcome are as follows;
• 1st Position — State Team
• 2nd Position — Local Government Team
• 3rd Position — Stakeholders Team
Other teams that participated were given consolation prizes each.
It’s indeed a great encounter and one of the best days in the Youth Council.
Especially appreciation to the chairman, planning committee, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙧. 𝙈𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙚𝙜𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣, who doubles as the State Programme Officer and his committee team for putting their best towards this memorable event.
