The National Youth Council of Nigeria is the authoritative, apex umbrella body of all the youths in Nigeria. It is charged with policy formulation and implementation on issues bordering on youth development, saddled with the statutory mandate of coordinating the activities of all the Youth, voluntary youth organization (VYO’S) Faith based Youth Organization (FBYO’S), community Based Youth Organization (CBYO’S), among others as it was established by the act of National Assembly in 1964.

To ensure the actualization of the full Potentials of Youths and to secure our Rights to enjoy Social, Political and Economic Development, while respecting the rights of others, also fostering active participation of Young People in all decision-making processes, and to complement Government efforts in Nation Building.
